SENIOR COMPrehensive
I completed my Senior Comprehensive research study on the female roles and gender dynamics in Grey's Anatomy. This two semester-long project included a lengthy thesis of 9 different sections: Abstract, Introduction, Literature Review, Research Questions/Hypotheses, Methods, Findings, Discussion, Works Cited, and Appendix. I collected and analyzed extensive data from the series. I presented my findings and defended my thesis in front of the entire Communication Studies department.

independent study
During my Senior year, I was a part of an Independent Study with two other students. We studied academic works regarding the health practices of college students. Based on our studies, we formulated suggestions that any college could use to promote the importance of Physical, Mental, Spiritual and Emotional health for their students. We created an informative poster, and manned a table at Saint Mary's College's first annual Health Fair. We were able to inform students, professors, faculty and staff of the information we discovered through our studies, and recommended how our school could improve their focus and approach
towards these issues.
We were excited to be featured in a segment of SMC TV, a video put together by students featuring important campus news.

study abroad peer advisor
I had the privilege of studying abroad during the Summer of 2017. Along with other students, I traveled to Paris, France; London, England; Edinburgh, Scotland and Dublin, Ireland. At the beginning of the following school year,
I was chosen out of all of the students from the trip to be a representative for the program as a "Peer Advisor." My role was to speak to Freshmen about my experience and inform them about what the European Summer Study Program has to offer. I delivered presentations to multiple Freshman classes that included pictures, details of the program and the different options regarding various classes the students can take while abroad.

I competed for my high school's DECA chapter all four years of my high school career. I competed in both the Regional and State competitions each year, and qualified for the International competition my Junior year.
My Sophomore year, I was elected the Reporter/Historian of the chapter. In this role, I published press releases, organized fundraisers, and photographed events and presented a video montage at the end of the year.

YEARBOOK
I was a member of the Yearbook Staff my Sophomore through Senior year (2011-2014).
I was the only Sophomore to be invited to have an Editor role. I held the Business Editor role from Sophomore through Senior year. In this position, I designed and created business ads and the Business section layout. I communicated with local businesses to sell advertising space in the yearbook as well as understand what the business owners wanted the ads to look like/contain. I also organized events to promote sales among students.
As a Staff member, my duties included:

THEATRE
I was enrolled in Theatre classes all four years of high school (Honors Theatre 2012-2014). I was an active Drama Club member all four years as well. I acted in multiple plays, one of which won an award for "Excellence in Artistic Courage" at the North Carolina Theatre Conference (2012)! My favorite play I acted in was Romeo and Juliet where I played the role of the Nurse. I executed tech for multiple plays and musicals. The Oklahoma musical was nominated for a "Lighting Execution" "Blumey Award" (2013). I was voted by my classmates to receive the "Outstanding Techie" Theatre Award for my contribution to the Oklahoma musical (2013).
At the end of my senior year, I was inducted into the International Thespian Society (2014).
